Bubble Craps Online: How the Machine Runs Your Bets
Sealed dice, a $500 cap in Washington and a New Jersey ban on vig: what a bubble craps machine changes about the price of every bet you make.

Bubble craps online, or on a casino floor, is still the familiar game of pass line, odds and proposition bets. The difference is that a machine shakes the dice and settles every wager, and the rules a regulator approves for that machine decide what each bet really costs you.
That is the part most guides skip. The dice sit sealed under a dome, the bet menu and payouts live in the game's software, and the terms change from one state to the next.
Bubble craps machines explained
A bubble craps machine replaces the stickman and the throw with a shaker. Under New Jersey's rules for automated craps, the dice remain sealed inside the shaker at all times and are never handled by a player or the dealer. The same code says dice cannot stay on an automated table for more than 24 hours, so they are changed on a fixed clock.
Settlement is automatic. The game reads the result and pays or collects every bet on the layout at once, which keeps the pace brisk. At an Interblock hybrid craps game at the Downtown Grand in Las Vegas, a reviewer timed a result every 30 seconds. More rolls in an hour means more bets resolved in an hour, and each one carries the edge of the bet you picked.
Is bubble craps rigged?
A regulated machine is built to run to approved rules, and the rules are written to make cheating hard to hide. New Jersey requires electronic table games to be designed for the approved theoretical payback, and to recall the last 10 rounds of play, with date, time and outcome, so a disputed roll can be checked. Washington State requires pay tables consistent with approved table rules on tribal electronic table games.
The live question in the record is settlement math, not the dice. A lawsuit filed in Florida, reported by ABC15 Arizona, alleged that an Interblock electronic craps game took its commission from the payout: five percent of what a winning bet paid, rather than five percent of the bet itself. Arizona casinos told the station their versions pay correctly. An allegation is not a finding, but it shows where a careful bettor should look.
What machine rules change about your cost
Machine craps has no single rulebook. Each regulator sets terms, and the same bet can cost more or less depending on where the machine sits.
| Rule | Where it applies | What the source says |
|---|---|---|
| Vigorish | New Jersey automated craps | No percentage fee or vig on any wager |
| Payout floor | New Jersey automated craps | No less than the listed odds |
| Oversized bets | New Jersey automated craps | Not accepted if they cannot be paid at permitted odds |
| Maximum wager | Washington tribal electronic table games | $500 |
| Pay tables and odds | Washington tribal electronic table games | Consistent with approved table rules |
| Field bet | Interblock hybrid game, Downtown Grand | Pays double |
New Jersey goes furthest. As of October 2026 its code allows no vigorish on automated craps wagers of any kind, so a commission on a machine is a product of local rules rather than of the game. Winners must be paid at no less than the listed odds, and the casino may not accept a wager too large to be paid at the permitted odds. That last rule is how a machine's odds limits work in practice: the menu stops you before a bet the house could not cover.
Washington, as of October 2026, caps the maximum wager at $500 on tribal electronic table games. Its list of approved proprietary games includes Interblock craps titles Shoot to Win and Lucky Roll.
Pay tables also vary by machine. On the Interblock hybrid game at the Downtown Grand, the field paid double as of February 2023, according to the Vital Vegas review. Read the pay screen on the machine in front of you rather than trusting a number from another casino.
Bubble craps online free
Free bubble craps online is practice: a bubble craps simulator lets you learn the layout, the bet menu and how the screen shows a settled roll, with no money at stake. The regulations in this story cover machines in licensed casinos, so a free version tells you nothing about a real machine's limits, pay table or commission.
Use the free game to get quick with the buttons. Before playing a real machine, find its pay table and maximum bet, and compare them with what you would get at a live table in the same casino.
A plan that fits the machine
The machine does not change which bets are cheapest; for that, see our ranking of good craps bets by house edge. What it changes is the pace, the betting ceiling and how any commission is figured.
- Pick your bets before you sit down, from the low-edge end of that ranking.
- Set a session budget and a stopping time. A fast machine resolves bets quicker than a live table, so the same budget can run out sooner.
- Read the pay table for every bet you plan to make, including the field.
- If a commission applies, check whether it is figured on the bet or on the payout.
No plan changes the long-run edge of a bet. It only controls how much of it you pay.
Letters: your questions
Is bubble craps rigged?
A regulated machine has to run to its approved rules. In New Jersey the dice stay sealed in the shaker, the game must be designed for the approved theoretical payback, and it must be able to replay recent rounds when a result is disputed.
Do bubble craps machines charge vig?
It depends on where the machine sits. New Jersey bars any percentage fee or vigorish on automated craps wagers, as of October 2026. Elsewhere, read the pay table and check whether any commission is taken from the bet or from the payout.
What is the most I can bet on an electronic craps game?
Each regulator sets its own ceiling. On tribal electronic table games in Washington State the maximum wager is $500, as of October 2026.
