Canada's top banking regulator has cleared tokenized deposits for use inside the regular banking system.
The Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions stated the assets are not legally distinct from ordinary deposits. That stance removes a key barrier for banks and other institutions that want to run on-chain rails.
Direct Path to Crypto Casino Deposits
Bettors who use crypto casinos now have a clearer regulatory signal. When banks adopt the same rails, deposit and withdrawal steps at licensed platforms can move onto public ledgers without creating a separate legal category.
Wealth Managers Add Crypto Exposure
A separate poll of wealth managers showed 60 percent plan to add crypto holdings inside the next year. The same share expects prices to finish higher by year-end. At the same time, 67 percent currently hold none.
Clearpool Shifts to XRP Ledger
Clearpool announced plans to move its institutional lending tools onto the XRP Ledger. The firm will also replace its CPOOL token with a new CLEAR token to fund network growth and incentives.
- Tokenized deposits treated as standard bank liabilities
- On-chain rails now available to existing financial institutions
- 60 percent of polled managers targeting crypto within twelve months
- Clearpool migration targets XRP Ledger credit markets
These moves sit inside the same regulatory lane that already supports offshore crypto gambling sites. Bettors watching deposit speed and settlement finality will see the practical effects first.
